These form the heart of our work and our commitment. We work with our partners at home and abroad to make a difference, because we believe in the power of collaboration. AtlasBridges collaborates on initiatives in villages, cities or neighborhoods that help in the fight against poverty and injustice. We can also provide rapid assistance in the event of a disaster or conflict.

Emergency Aid & Charity

We work in crisis areas. We do this, for example, in Syria and Ukraine. We also take action in acute emergencies caused by natural disasters and armed conflicts. We see that the number of emergencies in the world is increasing. Climate disasters and conflicts are occurring in a growing number of countries and regions. As a result, more and more people are fleeing or fearing for their lives every day. We support them by working on food security, safety, reconstruction and helping to build resilient communities.

Sustainability & Environment

Sustainable means: taking other people, the earth, the climate and generations after us into account. A sustainable way of living and working is one of the best strategies against poverty and injustice. We work towards a world in which everyone can meet his or her basic needs, has equal opportunities and possibilities and lives within the limits of what the earth has to offer. We call this ecological and economic sustainability.

Local & Ownership

You make a difference. Whether you are in Amsterdam, Utrecht or Texel, it is important to realize that you can make a difference and that you are meaningful to your living environment. That starts small, but has a big impact. If the responsibility for change lies with people themselves, the change is sustainable and people experience pride and freedom. We therefore do not send out teams ourselves, but always work through local organizations and mosques. Ownership is an important driving force in our work. #EduChance

There is a lot of injustice that takes place outside our field of vision, both far away and close by. We work on change by building a movement of rights bringers. We also encourage people in the Netherlands to stand up against discrimination and injustice. The character of our world is visible in its multicoloredness and diversity. Only when everyone fully participates and there is no longer any exclusion can people realize their full potential.
