Introduction

The Al-Murabitin Tinghir neighborhood faces major health challenges due to the distance to the Tinghir health center and the lack of adequate medical services. That is why we "Stichting Atlasbridges" and the local association AZOCC have a medical and surgical caravan to provide the necessary medical care to the residents of the area.

The campaign aims to provide basic health care to dozens of people (an estimated 2,000), especially women, children and the elderly, who suffer from lack of health services and from acute and chronic diseases.

The campaign faces major logistical and financial challenges and the message calls for collective efforts to overcome these difficulties.

The Atlasbridges Foundation calls on everyone to contribute financially to the success of this caravan and to work together to support and contribute to this noble campaign.

  • Day One: Friday, September 27, 2024

At 10 o'clock in the evening, the bus with the medical staff with about 30 specialized doctors and assistants, coming from the capital Rabat in the direction of Tinghir, was received at the Tamsant Accommodation Hotel. This reception was attended by us and the members of the two local associations in an atmosphere of joy punctuated by folkloric songs from the local heritage (Lavoile band).

  • Day Two: Saturday, September 28, 2024

At 8 a.m., the medical staff joined Dar Al-Zawiya, the headquarters of medical operations, where a reception was held for them, attended by regional and local authorities, representatives of the Health and Social Protection Commission, officers of the authority, the Royal Gendarmerie, elected officials and civil society organizations active in the area. Before the doctors joined their work, the ceremony was opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the national anthem, and the presidents of the two associations, the health representative and the head of the Todgha community made speeches welcoming the medical delegation and appreciating the efforts of all those who contributed to the success of this charitable and free work, which is unique in the region in terms of scale, strength and effectiveness.

  • Day Three: Sunday, September 29, 2024

The medical staff returned from the hotel in the same bus to complete the remaining patients with a kind of seriousness and responsibility, as is the case with the teams that supervise the organization and management, and everyone remained committed to the spirit of responsibility in the hard and continuous work to examine the last patient registered in the list of prescriptions and reserve prescriptions. After the late lunch, the medical staff members were honored with certificates of appreciation and symbolic commemorative prizes as a sign of their great sacrifices for the happiness of the inhabitants of the region, and certificates of appreciation were distributed to the members of the Red Crescent who have performed commendably and in fact contributed to the good organization and management. In addition to the winners, local committees, members of the organizing committee and some association actors are also among the winners. At four o'clock on the same day, the medical staff left the city of Tinghir and returned to Rabat, with an increase of unforgettable memories.

This charitable initiative was concluded with the same enthusiasm and satisfaction of all the participants, asking God to help us complete the second part of the surgical convoy with the same strength, enthusiasm and synergy and to invoke the values of cooperation, synergy and generosity instilled in us by our fathers and grandfathers, sons of the honorable centenary, and the values of permanent and lasting loyalty to the national constants and to the glorious Alawite throne under the wise guidance of Maulana, Commander of the Faithful, may God protect and assist him. and peace .
