MOROCCO
In terms of size, the Moroccan-Dutch community is the largest community in the Netherlands, after the community of Dutch people without a migration background and the Turkish-Dutch community. According to Statistics Netherlands, there will be 421,026 Moroccans living in the Netherlands in 2022, of which slightly more are from the second generation than from the first generation. Some Dutch Moroccans naturally speak one of the Berber languages and dialects. Another part naturally speaks Moroccan Arabic. The younger generation often speaks Dutch among themselves.
